Five Ways Of Sleeping Better

I now have trouble sleeping because of my left arm pains. This upsets my natural sleep cycle. I have been waking up later than usual lately. Time for some natural intervention. Here are five good tips for the best sleep aids with only natural ingredients: 1. Chamomile Tea Chamomile is one of the preferred herbs for naturally inducing sleep. The herb promotes calm and restfulness and may also be used to treat an upset stomach. It is gentle and safe enough to drink every day. 2. Lavender Lavender is another herb that can be infused into a calming tea. However, it should be in small doses because too much of it can cause allergy or increased light sensitivity. The herb can also be used to treat insect bites, headaches and skin burns. Place a sprig of lavender in your pillow case to help calm you through aromatherapy. Lighting up lavender-scented candles is another way. 3. Lemon Balm Just like chamomile and lavender, the plant called lemon balm also helps in relaxing and calming one's...

Visits to the Spa

I'm still researching for information on rheumatoid arthritis to help me with my left arm and carpal tunnel syndrome. Another possibility is Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, or TOS, which is caused by trauma to the brachial plexus, nerves that pass into the arms from the neck. I'm not sure how often I should have a massage, but I don't think I should do it frequently. Once a week, or twice a month, seems a good idea. I think I can ease the rheumatoid arthritis symptoms with regular visits to the spa.

My Left Arm

My aching left arm is not yet completely healed. The pain is similar to rheumatoid arthritis. It is most probably carpal tunnel syndrome, which also causes pain in the joints, but only in the hands. The pain just got worse with mine and climbed up my arm and to my left shoulder. The muscles on my left arm have weakened. I can't sleep on my left side anymore and my posture has changed with my left shoulder resting a little lower than the right. The treatment for rheumatoid arthritis may be a bit similar to carpal tunnel syndrome. Hand reflexology, regular hand massages, pain killers, and NSAIDs. Therapy is a secondary option to surgery, which is a last resort. Surgery may or may not help with the condition, depending on the intensity of the trauma to the median nerve. Good thing trips to the spa is so affordable, and I can get Ibuprofen over-the-counter. They keep the numbing and the pain down, and I can move my fingers well enough to allow me to work as a freelance writer.

Fish Oil Benefits And Side Effects

Lately, I have been feeling numbness and pain in my whole left arm from the shoulder blades down to the tips of my fingers. I have used painkillers and menthol ointments to relieve the pain and to loosen up the muscles, but the pins and needles, the pain, the numbness... it did not go away for long. I knew it's time for a more drastic solution. Massages are often used for rest and relaxation, but there are other types of massages that are therapeutic. Reflexology is one of them. I had a nice, hard hand reflex at Nuat Thai the other night. The result has been really good. The pain went away and the numbness from my back to my forearm lessened somewhat, but I still feel pain in the joints of my left hand. To help the healing, I need to take some vitamin supplements. Vitamins C and E are important, but there are alternative sources that help organically. These are made of natural ingredients that our bodies can absorb safely. The benefits of cod liver oil or of eating fish ...

Homemade Remedies For Acne

Acne serums are not that expensive, but some people prefer to use organic remedies instead of superficial methods, especially when the chemicals in those ointments and serums can burn sensitive skin. Fortunately, acne is a common skin problem and many homemade remedies for acne have been tested and proven to be effective. The number one step was to make sure the area is very clean. Natural antiseptics like garlic, tea tree oil and lemon juice can help. Next step was to keep the area moisturized. Honey, oatmeal and olive oil can help with this. Last step was to keep the sebum (oil) production low by changing one's diet and taking vitamins, such as Vitamin B complex that can dramatically lessen acne development in just a few weeks. Carbohydrate foods with low glycemic index or a low GI diet can also lessen acne growth by fifty percent.

Body Wash And Facial Scrubs To Prevent Acne

I do not normally develop pimples on the usual places, like the forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and neck. Pimples often grow on my upper back. To discourage pimple growth, I make sure to scrub my body each day using a loofah and an exfoliating wash. However, I also use lots of hair products that I suspect cause pimple growth on my back where my hair lay against. To prevent further acne growth, I had to use an acne serum . That helps prevent bacterial growth and infection. It dries up the weeping pimples. There are also an anti-acne soap and an anti-acne foaming facial wash that you can use to cover larger areas of acne, especially in areas you cannot reach easily during bath time.

Got Hitched

I got hitched over the weekend. I wore an electric blue Michael Kors dress that I got for a discounted price from eBay. It was a happy day for both of us. We chose January 15 as the date to match the anniversary of our relationship. I said yes to him on January 16 last year. It was also a Friday then. Unfortunately, we only had one night for our honeymoon because I had to work the next day. There are no leaves or vacations for my kind of work.
