My Left Arm

My aching left arm is not yet completely healed. The pain is similar to rheumatoid arthritis. It is most probably carpal tunnel syndrome, which also causes pain in the joints, but only in the hands.

The pain just got worse with mine and climbed up my arm and to my left shoulder. The muscles on my left arm have weakened. I can't sleep on my left side anymore and my posture has changed with my left shoulder resting a little lower than the right.

The treatment for rheumatoid arthritis may be a bit similar to carpal tunnel syndrome. Hand reflexology, regular hand massages, pain killers, and NSAIDs. Therapy is a secondary option to surgery, which is a last resort. Surgery may or may not help with the condition, depending on the intensity of the trauma to the median nerve.

Good thing trips to the spa is so affordable, and I can get Ibuprofen over-the-counter. They keep the numbing and the pain down, and I can move my fingers well enough to allow me to work as a freelance writer.

A brief vacation

I have just got back from UP Diliman for a week of respite. I had training for trainers at UP SoLaIR (School of Labor and Industrial Relations). It was a working vacation. At least I had time to slow down and not think of work for a few days. It was good! Really felt good to be taken cared of by the University Hotel staff.
