Tips on How to Care for your Eyes

My bout with an eye infection got me totally conscious on caring for my eyes. I have stopped touching them directly with my fingers since the hands are often dirty and exposed to different allergens. That is why I often rubbed them with alcohol. Nevertheless, rubbing one's eyes will still cause some problems. Sore eyes, eye strain, eye sty, and other eye problems can start with neglectful handling of one's eyes. Here are some tips on how to care for your eyes any time of the year: 1. Eat a diet rich in Vitamin A and beta-carotene. Yellow fruits and veggies are rich in Vitamin A and orange ones are filled with beta-carotene. These will help keep your eyesight healthy and improve eye health. 2. Do not stay up late. Besides tiring your eyes losing sleep can also cause eye bags and dark circles to form under your eyes. 3. Moderate use of eye drops can help ease tired eyes, but over use can also cause problems. Make sure to read the label and understand which type of eye drops are u

Inventory Time Again!

The schedule for admin people to do some inventory time after hours is set. I've been scheduled for the Thursday dates in March and April. They all know I always have something going on on Fridays so my colleagues have been considerate in giving me the day before slot. We are all tasked to place stickers and jot down inventory data of all office equipment including computer desks and computer peripherals like the mouse and headsets. We had to open each of the computer units to take note of the parts inside. I just hope they will provide dinner for us. Hehehe...

Minor Eye Surgery

I have just undergone a minor operation on my left eye. A pus grew out of the side and began spreading outward. If it wasn't for the emergency operation, the swelling would have covered my pupil and I would have become blind. It would have been difficult for the doctor to get rid of. I would have undergone a more major operation. Right now I am recuperating at home and trying to avoid having my exposed exposed to irritants like dust and heat, and not get it too tired and strained.

My boyfriend in Manila

My boyfriend has gone to Manila for a week to pursue his dream of going abroad. He took a one-week leave from his work and will be back next week. Meanwhile, he has already appointed someone to take care of pending jobs in his behalf. This includes signing documents for approval. It's easy actually because he already had a custom rubber stamp made with his name on it in big letters. All the substitue will have to do is to stamp my boyfriend's name and sign it in behalf of him. My boyfriend already cleared this process with his boss.

Native Designs and Products

My roommate is a big fan of native bags. Bags made of abaca and piña are the best with attached beads and scarf. Colored ones are as good as the naturally hued bags. Any native bag can be paired with either casual clothing or an evening dress for a formal occasion. It is so durable and easy to maintain. But there are also promotional bags from the Kultura store at SM Malls that look good. There are sack bags that resemble the bayong of old but it's made of abaca sack with hand-printed designs in front. Besides Kultura, you can also buy native bags from the Guimaras and Miag-ao cottage industry groups that weave these products. They are less expensive than Kultura. In fact, the same bag with the same style and design can fetch for only 180 pesos as compared to 600 pesos at Kultura. Other native products include scarfs and handkerchiefs, slippers, purses and wallets, and even woven native dresses. Native bag photo from Pinoy Fashion of Sassiness. Geekness Chicness.

February Itinerary

It's a busy February for me. Last February 2, Monday, we had lunch at a friend's house for the annual pilgrimage to the Jaro Fiesta. It's one of the most celebrated and most visited fiestas in Iloilo City. Another fiesta that is secondary in size and scope is at the Molo district. On February 10 me and my high school batch mates will be meeting up for a mini-reunion at MO2. There will be dinner and after that me and my boo will split for some quality time together. He will be leaving for Manila next week and I will have to cook up something for him to eat on the ship. Valentine's Day will have to be reserved for family time. I don't visit often and I need to come home again this weekend.
