Kojic Acid for whiter ageless skin

I have been using Kojic Soap for a few weeks now, testing to see if the product really works as claimed. So far there have been no visible changes with my skin. Honestly I have no idea what Kojic Soap is and where it came from. In an effort to understand how the product works I found these pieces of information from the web:

Kojic Acid - This is a form of bleaching agent which is rather effective at reducing pigmentation irregularities.

Kojic acid is a more recent remedy for the treatment of pigment problems and age spots. Discovered in 1989, kojic acid has a similar effect as hydroquinone.

Kojic acid is primarily used in cosmetics for it's skin lightening effect. It acts as an inhibitor of tyrosinase, which is responsible for the formation of melanin - the skin coloring agent in skin.

As mentioned, Kojic Acid soaps are just for skin lightening, not whitening. So don't expect miraculous results that would turn your dark skin to snowy white. Personally I prefer skin lightening. I wouldn't want to change my tanned look. All I want to do is prevent my skin from darkening further.

A brief vacation

I have just got back from UP Diliman for a week of respite. I had training for trainers at UP SoLaIR (School of Labor and Industrial Relations). It was a working vacation. At least I had time to slow down and not think of work for a few days. It was good! Really felt good to be taken cared of by the University Hotel staff.
