Transitioning From Tobacco To E-Cigs

Mini E-Cigarette (ecis)Image via WikipediaNo one understands the predicament that smokers face more than a smoker. Although I am a late adaptor to the habit, I know how hard it is to give up something that gives comfort to millions of smokers worldwide. Smoking is not just a habit, but a part of a smoker's identity.

Like the mobile phone that many people develop an attachment to, smokers do not leave behind their pack of cigarettes and a lighter. Also, like people who run out of prepaid load for their mobile phones, smokers also need a steady supply of cigarettes that they would risk safety and search for a store to buy a stick or two or a pack to satisfy their urge to smoke in the middle of the night.

I may not be reaching yet for a cig first thing in the morning, but I am surely getting there as long as the stress of my work keeps getting harder to cope with. However, for those who are in the process of making a life-changing decision to curb their appetite for nicotine, there is a new solution available in the market now. It's called the electronic cigarette. It sounds so techie, doesn't it?

The way the electronic cigarette, or e-cigarette, works takes no more than a puff and you're good to go. The amount of nicotine in it is not as concentrated as puffing on burning tobacco, but it's enough to satisfy the craving. It's like eating veggies when you really want to eat burgers and fries. At the end, the delayed gratification and dieting pays off because you'll be healthier and breathe easier.
